Hello, I’m Millie (pronouns she/her)! As a practicing artist, total bookworm and advocate for justice for survivors, I strive to use my creativity and voice to create a safe space which helps to empower and unify our community, especially when it feels like the world is trying to divide us more. Melinda Gates states in her book The Moment of Lift, ‘Empowerment starts by getting together’, and that’s what I want to do for survivors through the power and creativity of Say It Loud's social media platforms. The arts and community of the online world helped me heal from my experience of sexual violence, and I hope that our authentic voice here at Say It Loud can do that for others

ABI
Hi I’m Abi and I am part of the media team at Say It Loud! I have just recently graduated from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow with a degree in Law and Social Policy. I have a strong interest and commitment to equalities work, with particular regard to the topic of gender and gender-based violence. Through my studies, and particularly through my dissertation research project on sexual violence within higher education institutions in Scotland, I have acquired a strong passion and drive to support those impacted by this issue and to raise awareness of such an important topic. I feel honoured to be joining such an incredible team who’s work is vital in breaking the stigma surrounding sexual violence and in creating a safe space for survivors

Hey, I'm Amelia and I’m a part of the Media Team at Say It Loud! A bit of background on me; I'm a full-time brand & marketing manager working in the health and fitness industry and in my free time, I love being creative! The first time I came across the Say It Loud page, I was incredibly moved by the sentiment. I wish that myself and others had access to a platform like this when we were younger. We were not educated, we were not supported and we were not heard. So, when I saw the chance to join the team, I took it. I want to help create a safe place for others and I wish to help YOU to feel heard. Sexual assault is a social injustice we see day to day, but so long as we have a voice, we can use it to disasemble rape coulture and the stimage that surrounds it!

Social Media Team
Hi I’m Daniella, and I’m part of the Media Team at Say It Loud! I have a background in HR & Recruitment and have previously studied a Business Diploma. I also have a background as a Fashion content creator, working with a variety of fashion companies on social media, creating and promoting their brands. I have been following Say It Loud on Instagram for quite a while now and I absolutely loved the posts I saw. After going through my own difficult experiences, they made me feel so validated and understood. I could see it was an amazing organisation and I think it is so important to spread awareness about the suffering sexual survivor’s go through, as well as validating their feelings and experiences and providing trauma support. I think it is really important for us to all come together and remove the stigma around speaking out about sexual violence and the long term effects that it has on us. I am looking forward to joining the amazing team and putting my social media and marketing skills to use, and creating educational and informative posts for the Say It Loud platform, whilst also showing this is a safe space for survivors.

I joined the Say it Loud team because I am intensely passionate about keeping women safe, sharing information and encouraging important conversations. Hi, I’m Maria and I’m part of the media team at Say It Loud. I am currently in my third year of studying Law at the University of Manchester. Through my studies, I have been exposed to the legal and social injustices that survivors of sexual assault face and want to help eradicate rape culture and the stigma surrounding it. I believe that educating and increasing awareness is vital to dismantle the misconceptions surrounding a subject that is still taboo and I hope to use my knowledge and gain the necessary skills to help survivors around me feel supported. I am honoured to be part of such an inspiring team that creates a safe space for survivors to be heard.

Lauren
Social Media Team
Hi, I’m Lauren and I’m a 3rd year Visual Communication student at Leeds Arts University. Graphic design, social media management and content creation are the areas I have experience in. I love creating content for important issues to help create a positive change in the world. Therefore, I’m honoured to join the Say It Loud social media team.
It has taken me a while to realise that I have experienced sexual assault in the past because I wasn’t educated on it at the time. That’s why this platform is so important and I want to give everyone the knowledge that I never had! I am at my happiest when helping people, my goal is to reach as many people as I can through our social media posts because everyone deserves to say it loud and be heard.

Hi, I’m Emma. I am a recent English Literature and Language graduate of the University of Liverpool. I am extremely passionate about activism and making space to speak openly about stigmatised topics. Sexual violence is not uncommon and creating the conversation allows a safer society for survivors like myself to recover.
My dissertation looked at the importance and issues of the portrayal of sexual violence within dramatic literature. Sexual violence is not always portrayed correctly in mainstream media and Say It Loud! Is a safe space in which we can separate fact from fiction. I am incredibly grateful to be invited to the Say It Loud! Team and strive to help give voices to those in need.
