Hey I’m Abbey! I am currently studying Psychology at the University of York, and I am incredibly excited and proud to be a Support Mentor at Say It Loud. I wanted to join the team after discovering the amazing work and support they’re offering to survivors of sexual violence. I am extremely passionate about providing every survivor a safe space where they will feel heard and supported, as unfortunately this is not always easy accessible to a lot of victims. I have received training in responding to disclosures of sexual violence, and so I hope to use this knowledge to provide this support and make reaching out for help an option for all survivors, no matter their circumstance
Hi, my name is Libbie and I’m a support mentor at say it loud. I’ve recently finished a degree in criminology! My degree has taught me about the failures of the criminal justice system in dealing with victims of sexual violence, as well as the victimisation of women and the victim-blaming mentality that is so ripe within our society. It is so important that more discourse is created about sexual violence, most importantly to support victims, but also so society can work toward abolishing it. Say it loud’s work is so necessary as it provides a safe, confidential and informal place for victims to talk about their feelings and experience. I am passionate about supporting victims so I can enable them to get one step closer to healing.
Hey I’m Mia and I am support mentor for Say It Loud. I am extremely proud to be part of a team who’s main aim is to educate and support individuals about sexual violence. It is really important to listen and to provide a safe, confidential place for victims. I aim to be able to guide and support many others through their difficult times.

I am pleased to be part of such a rewarding team to end the stigmas surrounding sexual violence and victim blaming.
Hi, I’m Meg and I’m one of the new Support Mentors for Say It Loud. I’m a second year Psychology student at the University of York from South Wales. I am very excited to be part of a team working for such an important cause, and believe that as spiking incidents continue to rise, it is more vital than ever for individuals to have a safe space to feel heard. I am also very passionate about raising awareness regarding consent and the effects of sexual trauma, something I am also trying to achieve through my work with the Feminist Society.
Hey, I'm Joëlle, I joined Say it Loud as a support mentor because creating a safe space for all victims and survivors of sexual assault is incredibly important as it currently effects so many individuals. I am passionate about breaking down the myths and sterotypes that are embeded within rape culture. I'm here to listen and provide support to anyone effected by sexual violence, whilst raising awareness about a complex and stigmatised topic.
Hey, I’m Abbie and I’m a support mentor here at Say It Loud. I am proud and excited to be part of something I am passionate about. Alongside working towards eradicating the culture surrounding sexual violence, I want to use my personal experiences as a survivor to provide others with a a safe space.
Hey, I'm Emily, a support mentor at Say It Loud. I'm a third year psychology student and also work as a mental health recovery worker. I am incredibly proud to be part of Say It Loud as their mission to start conversations and educate people on sexual violence as well as providing a safe space for victims to talk is a cause close to my heart. I know first hand how challenging it can be to process trauma and navigate life after an assault, and I hope to be able to use my personal experience to support others on their own paths.
Hi I’m Freya! I am currently in my second year at university studying Psychology and Criminology. I joined the Say it Loud team after discovering them through social media after experiencing a life-changing encounter myself and they have helped me so much! So I felt this would be a great position for me to help the fight against sexual and domestic violence as well as the misogyny which still resonates through our society - something I have always been extremely passionate about. Ending the stigmas in rape culture is something of huge importance and Say it Loud is helping us to do that everyday. I am here to help in any way that I can with victims/survivors and I am privileged to be able to be part of this amazing movement!
